“Couldn't put it down...wanted the story to go on and on.”

- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2020This was a well written story that kept me reading. I think there could have been a bit more elaboration of the story in some pasta but over all, I really liked it. I has been raging books by Michael Richan for several years and absolutely love the River universe and how the 3 different series came together. I was initially disappointed that this book did not take place in that universe, or have any connection with the general River goings on. Richan has branched out in this book, and as much as I love the River series, this book shows a talent for writing beyond the usual fare. I hope to see more from Richan no matter what universe he has his stories take place in.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2020I don't know what to say. I love Michael Richans, but I just couldn't get in to this book. There was too much to keep track of. The story to me was not stream line. I read mostly horror and this just didn't do it for me. Maybe next time. Three stars for the story, five stars for effort.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2020This guys one of my fav authors - I’ve never given one of his book less than the 5 stars it deserves - idk if it’s because I didn’t connect fully with these characters because they were new to me , or if maybe having no mention in this book of any of his characters I do love so much , or what, but this book was my least fav from the author. I preorder everything from this author with out even reading the description , he’s that good - but this book just wasn’t a 5 star like all the other books he’s written. Sorry - it was def still a good read, it’s just not up to par with my normally , all time fav author, and 5 star book writer that this author has always been to me- i do still recommend the purchase of this book, it’s totally worth it, it is a good read
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2020This is not your typical haunted house story. There is much more depth to it. You start with one prognosticator only for his story to be moved to the background as you meet someone new. It is a multi generational story. Absolutely fascinating from start to finish but also incredibly sad with so many sad endings for the characters in the story. I’ve never read anything quite like it.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2020For those into paranormal stories, this one was pretty good. It starts out a bit confusing, but clears up at a decent rate, then takes off! It's about love and hate, revenge, and finality. So, it's a great one off with leaving no questions to be answered, in my opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2020I just did not enjoy this book. I read all of his other books and was sure I would enjoy this one also. After finishing it I was asking “what was the point”? A nice guy gets manipulated and killed and the effects ripple through the next few generations of people involved. For me, we didn’t get time to care about any of these people before the book was jumping in time and to a whole other group of people. I found it weird, and not in a good way.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2020I love every other book written by this author and own them all. Unfortunately, I own this one too. This book was so fractured it was hard to follow. The only character I cared for wasn't around long. It was really hard to finish. I'm glad I did because the ending was decent. Not a book I will read again nor recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2020I like it it is a very well written story, it was hard for me to put it downm. Looking forward to read more of your books. Thank you it was a joy to read this novel.
